Course Description:

This course will provide an update on newly approved topical medications for the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Emphasis will be placed on each drug’s indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, efficacy, and cost.

Learning Objectives:

1. To identify the aspects of glaucoma pathophysiology that may be amendable to topical medical therapies.
2. To review the strengths and weakness of seven new topical glaucoma medications.
3. To use clinical cases to identify patients who may benefit from one of the new medications.
4. To highlight the growing concern of the link between ocular surface disease and glaucoma.
